The studios are small but OK. wheelin showers have grab rails and I have been there 4 times on
my own and I would say it is catagory 1. There are ramps and lifts, the lifts can be a little confusing, this place is
set at the top of a hill so if you're on your own or got a pusher you will need some puff, apart from a bar/restaurant
with entertainment about 100mts away, it's down the hill just mentioned. Breakfast was
excellent but I thought the evening meals not so good. Not much by way of entertainment on site.

Mar Y Sol What can I say, on the PLUS side it caters for just about any
disablement you can imagine. The apartments are reasonably spacious, particularly the one bedroomed ones,
the studio apartments are a bit on the small side but whichever apartment you have they have really good access
to the bathrooms. Lifts and landings can easily be accessed and the restaurant and pool area are great; even
the sun beds are at the same height as the seat on a wheelchair for ease of transfer across. Help with getting to
bed is available, at a cost, as is any assistance to help while staying at Mar Y Sol.
The DOWN side must be the difficulty for users of manual wheelchairs to get back from the promenade, up
Cardiac Hill to return to Mar Y Sol. Even returning via the top road from Los Cristianos town centre can be
difficult because of the hill from the town and negotiating the roundabout before going up a hill again past the
Italian Restaurant and the Hotel Reveron to reach Mar Y Sol. The other thing is, not all the apartments have grab
rails in the bathroom around the toilet seat and these must be hired, usually from LeRo.

Holiday began badly with a 17 hour delay at Birmingham airport due to technical fault with plane. We were looked
after very well with an overnight stay at the nearby Metropol Hotel. Once we got to Tenerife things were almost
perfect, fabulous hotel including, spacious bedrooms, massive bathroom with wheelin shower, one grabrail.
Great food and plenty of it and of course hot weather.

The HOTEL PRINCESS is a nice, wheelchair friendly hotel suitable for all age
groups. It has large lifts. The bedrooms which most wheelchair users were
given were down quite a steep ramp near the piano bar. There was good
entertainment especially for families and older couples.

Fabulous hotel including, spacious bedrooms, large bathroom with wheelin shower with one grabrail.
Good food and plenty of it and of course hot weather. Some kerbs were very high, but once you get
to the promenade it was OK and it was easy to walk to Los Christianos.

Arranged 3 bedroomed apartment very spacious but no adaptions otherwise well equipped, just around the corner from Mar y Sol,
so you need a fair bit of puff here also. Onsite catering was OK and fairly priced. Like other parts the apartment
we had, had a lot of cockroaches. Weather as you would expect for Tenerife.

The hotel was fabulous including, it had been recently refurbished and had spacious bedrooms, massive bathroom with wheelin shower, one grabrail.
Great food and plenty of it and hot weather. The entertainment was nothing special, but much better
the nights they had the audiance participating. The sea front was quite along way and a lot more dropdown kerbs were required.

Stayed in a 3 bedroomed apartment. very spacious and well equipped, almost at the top of a long steep hill
so you need a fair bit of energy. Onsite catering was OK and fairly priced. Other than one bar/restaurant all the
others meant you had to go down the hill. Weather as you would expect for Tenerife.

The large apartment at Victoria Court the apartment is very spacious and well equipped cooking facilities,
washing machine, fridge and large kitchen. It has three large bedroom two with double beds and one with two
single beds and a cabin bed, and in the lounge there are two bed settees. The two bathrooms are quite large
with toilet Washbasin bath with shower. But wheelchair users would have to be able to stand to use the baths
and showers, apart from that the complex on ground level is totally suitable for wheelchairs. The swimming pool
has no hoist. The complex has its own bar/Restaurant but it is quite small.
Once outside the complex in Los Critianos you can find a lot of Bars and Restaurants, several with
entertainment once you have gone down quite a steep hill, its on the level, The complex is about four hundred
yards from the beach. But if you want sandy beaches you will have to go a little further along about quarter of
mile.

Flew from Manchester had wheelchair assistance onto the plane.
We were met at the airport in Tenerife by an accessible wheelchair minibus. The lady who met us had even collected
our suitcases of the turntable carousel, and we were ready to go to our apartment. It takes about 20 minutes to get
to los cristionas from the airport so it wasn’t long before we arrived there. We booked in at reception and a man
brought down our luggage for us. The room had 2 bathrooms one of which was accessible for wheel chairs and had a
wheel in shower. We did have to hire the shower chair though from a place in the hotel, which has, a lot of equipment
for hire e.g. hoists, wheelchairs, walking frames whole range. There is a hoist into the pool and the pool is heated
to a lovely warm temperature. There are raised sun loungers for easy transfers. Ramps everywhere. Raised tables in
the dining room. We stayed over New Year and they had a gala dinner on New Years Eve, which was very enjoyable. You
can also have health treatments at the hotel.
