Hotel Calypso--Salou
TOUR OPERATOR--THOMPSON -- June & October 2000
Submitted June 2001 Client - Ian and Hazel White - Staffs
The bathroom was wide enough for a wheelchair BUT you do have to ask for a
suitable room as they are not all capable of getting a wheelchair in the bathroom.
The food was very good but one day we all went down to the
front and had a meal, Ian had squid and was very ill that night and all the next day. The paths were very bad for
wheelchairs and some were unusable. The view from our bedroom was trees.

You have go up a short ramp to get into the hotel and then you are faced with a short but steep ramp down to get
to the reception, an independent traveller or an elderly person pushing a wheelchair would have a problem, I take
some scaring but it did scare me, and then of course you have to come back up it. You could actually move around in
the bathroom with a wheelchair. Although the food was plentiful I actually found the so called hot meals were always
on the cool side. About 500 meters to the beach, most of the footpaths were appalling but once on the seafront
they were very good and it was flat.
